Strollers on the campaign trail in Baby-Haven
A reader, and seasoned political hen, suggests this may be the first time she's ever seen a stroller canvass in an election campaign. Not only do I think she's right, I think it's a safe bet that if you were to stroll down to Lisa MacLeod's campaign office at 900 Greenbank Road tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon you're bound to meet some terribly cool chicks.
High profile in deed. There's been some serious politicing going on the last few weeks in Nepean- Carleton for the provincial by election. Familiar names include PC Leader John Tory, former Ottawa Mayor, Jackie Holtzman, Peter MacKay, John Baird, Gordon O’Connor, Pierre Poilievre, Dean Del Mastro and Guy Lauzon from the Hill and from Queen's Park, Norm Sterling, John Yakabuski, Laurie Scott, Toby Barrett and Jim Wilson.

OTTAWA – March 25, 2006 – Bell-South Nepean Councillor, Jan Harder and her daughter, former Orleans Ward candidate, Andrea Steenbakkers will lead a group of Moms with strollers as they go door-to-door with Nepean-Carleton PC candidate Lisa MacLeod through the streets of Baby-haven (Barrhaven), Sunday, March 26, 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Ms. Harder is the latest in the line of high-profile guests to join Ms. MacLeod on the campaign trail.

Thanks for the update, I called McLeods office a few weeks ago and I was not able to attend I do not live in her riding... but I'm thrilled she did it and I offered any help I could give her with childcare....
